How It Works:

The class is asynchronous, which means you fit it into your schedule! Within the 3 weeks of class, we message back and forth on an app and focus on part 1 (technique)

I send you a video lesson (under 5 minutes!)  👉🏼 you watch it 👉🏼 upload your assignment (also 5 minutes!) 👉🏼 and I send you a video with feedback.
Then we move onto the next lesson! (In some cases, I may ask you to repeat the assignment if I think you need it)

That's it! 

After the 3 weeks of class, you'll be given access to the student portal to refer back to the video lessons as well as part 2 (Knives + Maintenance) and the how-to video library.

Part 1- Technique 


You'll learn how to hold your knife the right way, practice honing (which is different than sharpening) and begin testing out different cutting methods and motions. Once you've got the basic techniques down, we move to applying that to actual knife cuts like small, medium and large dice, julienne and of course we cover the onion and garlic and best techniques to get through them with ease and efficiency.

Refer back to this library of how-to videos for things like butternut squash, watermelon, sweet potato, pineapple, mango and more! I plan to continue adding to this.

Do I get to keep the videos?

Yes! Your one-time payment gets you access to all the lessons and any updates I make.

How much time do I need will this take?

During the 3 week class, the lessons and feedback take place asynchronously on a video messaging app. You watch short lessons and upload your assignment on your own time and within your schedule! 

Do I need special or expensive knives?

Not at all! You need one Chef knife or similar, cutting board and a phone or ipad.

I'm pretty good with chopping. Can this still help?

My experience has been that home cooks don't know what they don't know and settle when their knife skills can be WAY better and it can enhance their chopping and food prep significantly.
